Call for Authors: Nephrology Nursing Journal 

The Nephrology Nursing Journal Editorial Board is interested in reviewing manuscripts in all areas of nephrology nursing. Expert assistance is available from members of the Editorial Board. Assistance with topic selection, outlining, and choosing the format, full peer-reviewed manuscript or department, is available. You may also refer to our Author Guidelines for more information. A query e-mail, phone call, or letter is advised to save yourself time.

Topics of interest to our readers are as diverse as our readership. A few of the topics are:

  • Chronic kidney disease and pre-dialysis management, including anemia control, blood pressure control, diet and nutrition, and cognitive changes. 
  • Patient management strategies in all areas of nephrology nursing, including education for choice of modality, calcium and phosphorus control, peritoneal dialysis training, hemodialysis access care, pretransplant and posttransplant teaching strategies, and understanding plasmaphoresis.
  • Addressing the nursing shortage, impact on patient care, staffing issues, family and self-care strategies, use of patient care technicians.
  • Staff Education, including orientation strategies, continuing education strategies and topics, financing, and staffing for attendance at meetings. 
  • Administrative issues of interest, including recruitment and retention strategies, crisis management with staff and patients, how financial issues impact patients, and working with nephrology technicians.
