Perceptions of Incorporating Spirituality into Their Care:
A Phenomenological Study of Female Patients on Hemodialysis

Goal: To provide information about the desires of women with ESRD to have their nephrology nurses recognize their spirituality needs.

Objectives:

    1. Summarize the themes identified by women with ESRD in their preferences of nurses incorporating spirituality needs into the plan of care.
    2. Connect the findings from a study on meeting spiritual needs to the nurse-patient relationship.
    3. Analyze the nursing behaviors that are important when addressing the spiritual needs of patients.
